Impotence (erectile dysfunction)
While most cases of ED are due to some physical cause, most men suffering from impotence have some psychological component to their condition. Impotence commonly gives rise to anxiety which can cause stress in a relationship.
In most cases, isolated episodes are more likely to be due to fatigue, stress or an over-indulgence in alcohol than an underlying physical cause. However, many men react to an occasional episode of erectile dysfunction by becoming more anxious, which results in further sexual problems, hence more anxiety. This is called the "impotence domino effect" of anxiety - failure - more anxiety - more failure.
Fortunately now there is more information on impotence and better treatments. Learn more about psychological impotence by reading our more detailed article.
FSD (Female Sexual Dysfunction)

So much so in fact, that Pfizer (the makers of Viagra) abandoned plans for a female equivalent to their best selling erectile dysfunction medication, declaring that the main sex organ in the female is 'the brain'. While psychology will always play a part in libido, there is considerable evidence that testosterone in women can increase sex drive after menopause. For more find out about Testosterone Patches
