Superfood 'could help stave off prostate cancer'

British males may be interested to know that a new superfood has been discovered which could help stave off prostate cancer.
According to the Daily Mail, soya beans - otherwise known as edamame – may have beneficial effects upon those looking to keep the cancer at bay, as has been illustrated by recent studies.
Dr Frankie Phillips, of the British Dietetic Association, told the newspaper that the beans promote healthiness because they contain protein, iron and fibre, as well as being rich in omega 3.
"As such, they may help to maintain a healthy heart and circulatory system," she said, adding that while research indicated that the beans could help in the fight against prostate cancer, this had yet to be proved.
Research conducted recently by the Journal of Clinical Investigation found that men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer could prolong their lives by eating fish and other foods rich in omega 3.
